Nurse salary in Uzbekistan (2026)
The median advertised salary for a nurse in Uzbekistan is 3.82 million som a month — about $318 — for January–August 2026 (gorodrabot.uz), and 4.0 million in August alone; the ads come mostly from private clinics. The official average for the whole healthcare sector is 4.44 million (H1 2026). State medicine is where 2026 changed things: budget-sector pay rose 7% on 1 September, nurses with higher education get a 100% supplement from 2026, mid-level staff in pilot district hospitals got 10%, and in the reform pilot a nurse’s base starts around the $300 equivalent.
What a nurse is paid (2026)
Across job ads for January–August 2026 the median nurse salary is 3.82 million som and the average 4.05 million; August alone had a 4.0 million median, which was also the most common figure that month. These are employer offers, mostly from private clinics, and they usually describe an entry rate for a nurse without a category.
The official average for healthcare and social care is 4.44 million som (H1 2026), but that is the whole sector, doctors included. The 3.82 million in ads sits below it because private clinics post most vacancies and tend to hire nurses at the starting rate.
Nurses in state medicine: what changed in 2026
From 1 September 2026 budget-sector salaries are up 7% (presidential decree UP-115 of 23 June 2026), and the minimum wage is 1,360,000 som from the same date. A nurse’s salary in a state polyclinic or hospital, and every supplement calculated from it, rose accordingly.
Nurses with higher education receive a 100% supplement to the base salary from 2026 — announced at the president’s meeting of 10 November 2025, alongside a doubling of admission quotas for higher nursing programmes in 2026. On 5 September 2026 the Ministry of Health added monthly supplements for graduates of the renamed higher-nursing profile: one minimum wage for bachelors and two for masters, for the new programme from the 2027/2028 academic year.
In the pilot running in district and city central hospitals, mid-level medical staff got 10% on their position salary and doctors 20% (decree UP-88 of 19 May 2025). Under the new pay system running in pilot districts since 1 July 2025, a nurse’s base starts around the $300 equivalent — see the doctor salary page for the doctors’ side of that reform.
A nurse in a private clinic
The 3.8–4 million in the ads is the private market: a fixed salary, a shift schedule and, in larger clinics, a bonus tied to workload. The pay spread is narrower than for doctors because there is no percentage model — a nurse’s income grows through shifts, a category and moving to a better-paying clinic rather than through a patient base.
When comparing offers, check what the figure includes: night shifts and extra shifts should be paid on top, not folded into the headline number.
Nurse salary in Tashkent
There is no separate statistic for nurses in the capital, but Tashkent averages 12.01 million som, 1.7 times the national figure, and private clinics are concentrated there, so offers run above the regions.
